Portfolio
My porfolio tracks the past 3 years in the Unitec School of Design.
Crown 2007 – Ceramic bowl version of Squeeze
Squeeze 2007 – Ceramic vessel with finger dimples
Crinkle 2007 – Ceramic bowl with creased texture
Cosy 2007 – Ceramic bowl based on a felt cosy
Tea Time 2007- Ceramic teaset avaliable in a range of colours
Rockin’ Teaset 2007. Slipcast stoneware with black, white and teal glazes.
Heart pendant 2007 – Teacup handles attached together to make an adorable pendant
Tea bangles 2007. Secondhand teacups.
I realised that by slicing the teacups the rings could also become beautiful bangles. You could wear your treasured teacup on your arm.
Takeaway teacup 2007. Slipcast earthenware.
Tea cups 2007. Ceramic teacups and paper coffee cups.
Ever grabbed a takeaway coffee and felt your hand burning from the paper thin cup?! Well I solved this problem by taking neglected teacups and slicing the bottoms off so you can slip it over the paper cup and have a real handle well you drink your coffee in morning traffic.
jUMPBAGS 2006. Pre-loved jumpers.
Featured in “A tad less Bad” 3rd year object design exhibition at Unitec which explored alternatives to our over-consumption and embraced the ordinary. jUMPBAGS are made from old, pre-loved jumpers which are no longer worn another function needs to be applied…why not a funky new bag?
Drape me shelf 2005. Glass, steel and fabric.
I was interested in the combination of a hard surface, glass and a soft fabric and how to attach the fabric to the sheet of glass so the fabric could become the shelves as it looped through the glass.
Flat pack bowls 2005. Sheet polypropelene.
Rocker 2005.
Bent laminated mdf, formed around a jig and then woven strips through the top.

Hi Lindsay
I am so pleased to be able to see your very own ideas and work after all this time. Your work seems so refreshing and modern. Well done.
Love
Maureen
Your blog looks really great Linz. Nice work
WOW!!
What an extensive range of invigorating design! I personally like the ‘drape-me table’ or ’shelf’ as you say. Also, the charismatic ceramic tea sets stand out and are bound to brighten up anyone’s cuppa!
Great work Linz, you’re a star! xoxo
Do you sell these? I’d love to buy one of those bracelets for my mom. She is a huge tea cup collector and she’d love it!
Hi Kelli
Yes I sell them online, go to http://www.cleverbastards.co.nz and I will post direct to you
Thanks for the feedback!
Lindsay
Love the heart pendant , so cute.
I have some broken bits of pretty tea cups. I wanted to make braclets or necklaces out of them.. Have you made something like that in the past..
One time I had read where you use foiling stips around the edges and attach them with rings .
any way..
Lisa
