Rockin’ teapot
11Jul07
Opaque white glaze with metal handle attached with lugs.
My latest series of designs explores the archetypical form of the common teapot by curving the base and rounded edges. It rocks when pushed and almost tips over but stops just in time. I explored different handles and glazes to see what worked best visually and functionally.
Soft rope handle is very tactile but not practical. Matching cups with overlapping glaze.
Stacked cups have the same shape as the teapot. Matt black glaze on outside is overlapped with white glaze in the inside creating a thin blue line.
